10-17-54 There is an interesting (to me) story about this particular strip. I have seen the original strip – or at least what I think is the original strip. It may be that Gus Arriola recreated the strip for a friend of his with the San Francisco Chronicle. Finances prevented me from acquiring the original at the time and I have, sadly, lost track with the owner.
